Mary O'Sullivan
Mary O'Sullivan

Mary O' Sullivan is a world traveler from Cork, and has returned home to teach yoga. She is a qualified teacher of Ashtanga Yoga, having taken her training under the guidance of Chaitanya Nitai Das from the Peruvian Yoga Inbound School in Cusco, Peru. After completing her training, she spent the next few months teaching yoga in a little surf town called Huanchaco, in Peru. She plans to continue her yogic studies at the Bihar Yoga School in India in the summer of 2011. She will be able to deepen her practice and develop her understanding of the eight limbs of yoga.

Through her practice of Asthanga Yoga, Mary has never felt stronger in her body or more focused in her life. The reason she came to yoga was through an injury. Her physiotherapist suggested yoga as a way to help the body heal. Her initial desire to heal herself lead her to discover solace in yoga.

Mary teaches a style of Asthanga Vinyasa Flow yoga that incorporates all the principles of Asthanga. Her classes utilize asana from both the primary and intermediate series. She focuses on the breath as the basis of the practice, keeping it as fluid as possible. Mary helps her students to build strength, flexibility and mental focus. Her classes are safe and suitable for all levels of experience.

Outside of practicing yoga, Mary can be found surfing in west Cork, reading a good book, or attending a workshop to continue the yogic studies she began in Peru.

Contact Mary (click Mary's name to send her an email) at 085 766 5150 for information about Ashtanga Yoga classes.

Japleen Kaur
Marie Young

Japleen Kaur is a native of Cork and has worked in the IT industry for all of her working life, until now. She took up Yoga 7 years ago, mainly for it's stretch and tone benefits, but soon discovered that there was a great deal more to it than just exercise. She came across Kundalini Yoga about 3 years ago through a series of chance or synchronistic encounters and became aware that this form of Yoga filled a gap that she had not even realised was missing. She was fascinated by the way Kundalini Yoga could so quickly effect change on all levels and how it became such a positive influence in her life. So, much so that she is now retiring from her stressful IT job and is pursuing her passion for Yoga.

Japleen Kaur decided to teach yoga as she had a strong desire to find out more, but also to convey the benefits to others.
